When I moved to Maryland, most of my friends were in Virginia, about 45 minutes to an hour away, which doesn’t sound like much. However, when you have families it can be hard to make the time to see each other. 💯 && if I planned on drinking, which was 10/10 times .. it put a damper on how I got home. 👀 So I usually remained home. 🤦‍♀️ I’m certain this is how I got so deep into my drinking. 🤨 It snowballed slowly over the years until I was in too deep before I realized it. I drank before but after having Maddie it decreased since I was solely responsible for a little human being. Then I moved where I didn’t know anyone but Jorge. And it was painful since I love to be with my friends 💔 That’s why I’m so freaking GRATEFUL that I typed “Maryland sober girls” in the FB tool bar one evening last year. I’ve been alcohol free since May 17, 2021.🙌 I wish I had done that search earlier bc I can’t imagine how much better those first 2 years would have been! Once we began hanging out, I totally got why it’s so important to have a sober group of friends.👏 bc they GET IT. I recommend searching for a local crew where you are. & if you are telling yourself that you aren’t social… yea, I wasn’t either {remember, I spent almost a DECADE living as a drunk hermit! 😂😂} I found a circle of ladies who are always down for a call, a coffee, or whatever. It helps that alcohol no longer controls what we do, making us more available to loved ones. 🥰👊 Ending each day sober builds your confidence to a level you can’t reach with alcohol. That being said, we are a crazy group who own our CRAZY & I LOVE THEM🔥 Get a group of friends with whom you have so much fun, you leave people wondering if you were drinking or not. 😉That’s how we roll… Want to explore what life is like without alcohol holding you back?
