No. Doctors break small glass slabs to cut tissue samples for studies. They don’t use real obsidian because it is easier with glass

Yea chipping those can be dangerous. Hit it wrong and that blade is attached to a 0.5kg weight flying in a random direction rotating like a chainsaw.

they do not use them for human surgery. yes they are sharper, also more brittle & leave flakes behind. taxidermy is one of the few big uses of them.
