Osprey are great. Go to REI and the worker with fit you and show you which one works best for what occasion and where to wear them on the hip

I've got a mountainsmith mayhem 30L! I'm a 20/22 & the hip band is 48" when fully extended. the hip pockets are great & add extra support.
