@find_my_wild: STAGE 4 COURT REBUILDING YOUR LIFE AFTER A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE / ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP… 👩⚖️ COURT 👨⚖️ Court sucks a Bag of dicks. There is no way to explain it unless you have lived through it. You can set yourself up for some kind of success though by being prepared in all areas. Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually. ◽️ STAGE 4.1 PREPARATION ◽️ The better prepared you are the easy the process goes. ✅ Collect all your financial information. ✅ Have Super records etc ready to go. ✅ Build your case and have the information ready to go for your affidavit. ✅ Be kind on yourself ✅ Know that what ever happens, you will be ok. ◽️ STAGE 4.2 BUILD YOUR CASE CONT. ◽️ Unfortunately with Court, they see people like us all the time so we have to prove our case and in order to do so we need to build a strong case and be able to prove incidents. ✅ Keep precise documents in your notes with dates and time. ✅ take Photos of everything. ✅ Create a folder in your email to file any email received. ✅ screen shot text messages and put them in a Google doc file. The more tangible proof you have the more the odds will go in your favour. STAGE 4.3 MINDSET BEHIND COURT ◽️ Unfortunately with Court, they are super busy and they don’t give a fuck. We are just another number. ✅ Breathwork ✅ Leave the room and take a moment. ✅ Be prepared with all the Documents you need. ✅ Take time to process what is being said to you. ✅ Take a Family Member or Friend to support you. ◽️ STAGE 4.4 THE LAW ◽️ The Law doesn’t feel fair at times.. I fuckin get it. The more evidence you have the stronger your case will be. ✅ Keep detailed notes. ✅ Attend all the appointments. ✅ Keep texts, emails and anything tangible that is sent to you. ✅ Stand firm for Children’s wishes.
