@littlemissplumful: #livingwitheczema isn’t just about having to deal with the physical aspects of having a #dryskincondition. Yes it’s painful, uncomfortable & frustrating to have constant #peeling #cracking #bleeding #itchyskin. It’s a relentless cycle. But what’s been far worse for me is how I completely lost myself. I didn’t recognise myself. It stripped me of my confidence & self-esteem. With every layer of skin that painfully pealed away was a part of my joy. When you’re in the deep dark depths of an #eczemaflareup or #topicalsteroidwithdrawal it’s hard to see how you’ll be able to break the cycle & get out of it. BUT staying mentally strong is the biggest part of the battle & constantly reminding yourself that your #eczema DOES NOT DEFINE YOU is so so important. This looks like TSW. My daughter has it. She had severe eczema, and really had to use a lot of steroid cream, which is what TSW is from.
