@ryantagcoffee: PSA: I don’t see lots of people talking about this, but in order to keep steam / hot water wands working properly do not close the valves all the way tight. Doing so can cause unnecessary wear on the gasket that closes the seal, there are exceptions to this though - some higher end machines will use sprung valves, which use a spring to push against the seal. These are more durable and experience this issue less, but as a general rule of thumb I would recommend not turning past the point where steam stops.
