@teawithmd: Let’s talk about #nail health, especially with manicures at nail salons! Cuticles exist for a reason, acting as a small flap of skin to protect the boundary between nail plate and proximal nail fold. Cuticles are so important to keep microbes and irritants from getting under the skin, so don’t let anyone touch or cut your cuticles! #gelnails should be removed properly, not partially filed off, which can cause damage to the nail plate. Lastly, new research has come out that repeated exposure to radiation from nail drying lamps increases risk of DNA 🧬 damage.
