@amyvbrook: A COMPLETE ROUND UP OF OUR SPOTS ON THE NC500 ⬇️ (part two) Night 4️⃣ - just past Ullapool (west coast) we found this gem of a park up. A little forest with a waterfall literally 10 seconds from the van! This was right on the N500 route, but set back from the road so very peaceful at night. A couple of locals arrived around 8 in the morning to walk their dogs but otherwise no one else there. 57.7824410,-5.0373458 ⬅️ (copy the coordinates into google) Night 5️⃣ - we decided to take a little detour from the NC500 and head up to the Isle of Skye so we could hike up the Old Man of Storr in the morning. We stayed at An Corran beach, it’s a huge lay-by on a dead end road so no traffic really. It’s quite big so could accommodate lots of vans, right on the seafront so insane views. There’s a couple of dinosaur footprints here too that apparently date back to 170 million years ago but were only found in 2001, pretty cool! 57.6364994,-6.2047876 And then we headed home. Our NC500 was very spontaneous and we literally decided we were going to do it as we set off from home 🙈 so we didn’t have much time to stop anywhere else.
