Google “plastic owl for garden” and get a few. My grandpa has used them in his strawberry patches for years and it keeps the birds and bugs away.

For birds, paint a small rock to look like a strawberry. I heard it works to get them to leave the real ones alone.

you can also do a tomato cage over plant and cover that with a mesh laundry bag
