Example: Please move the chair. BEND (/bɛnd/) Meaning: To curve your body or something else. Example: Bend your knees slowly. STAND UP (/stænd ʌp/) Meaning: To rise from sitting to standing. Example: Please stand up when your name is called. STAND (/stænd/) Meaning: To be on your feet; not sitting. Example: I can stand for a long time.
