I don’t know what your name was before. I’m unsure what use to make your tail wag. I can’t tell you what you were like as a puppy..I think you sat there and tried to remember any of those fond memories. I can’t erase the heartbreak of your owner bringing you to the shelter to euthanize you but Il sure try all we can . There wasn’t a lot We knew besides you broke our heart when you wouldn’t even lift you head so we asked why.. the answer hit us in the chest…they told us she’s already been pre medicated so she can go back next for euthanasia . Our team lead was there only to pick up another dog and just walked the kennels by pure chance. One look at you and hearing the story and what the next step was enough for Jess to text me and our decision was save you immediately . They warned us about the “pre euthanasia cocktail” already given and all your concerns medically and age wise… we didn’t care. Any risk was worth it to show you the world didn’t give up. Your end wasn’t whining in your kennel looking for who left you. Your life end wasn’t laying on that shelter floor by your vomit. I may not know much about you but we know just enough to start this journey and we can’t wait to know everything we can for as long as we can. It was meant to be that Jess walked those kennels 10 minutes before your end..You may have felt forgotten on that floor but you aren’t. You are family. Here’s to the rest of your life nana.
