Nice. Just in the past year, Cochlears can now sometimes be approved for severe Tinnitus. I have it as well bilaterally.

i think of tinnitus like phantom limb where our brain creates sounds to replace the silence of no CIS since we’re constantly stimulated with the CIs

I had that too for a month and a half last summer and I had to go to a professional ear doctor and he had to clean out my ear and it stopped ringing

My daughter is 16 and has been dealing with sensorineural bilateral hearing loss and tinnitus since she was 11. I’m hoping this helps her.

I have tinnitus only in left ear. I haven’t lost any hearing so insurance will not approve. 😔 the surgeon I saw said I don’t need one. I have hearing aids and those don’t work. It seems the o my thing that has worked is my beats with the night background sound on for about two hours and it leaves for an hour two which is great! Some relief. I’m an RN and educator and now I’m really struggling to even work and focus.

god i really wish my mom would go see an audiologist. she is mostly deaf but she doesn’t have any hearing aids or anything and won’t because 15+ years

I have dealt with ringing in my ears for 7 yrs and horrible at times. Did you go to an ENT Dr? I might be looking into this.
