@hellomisslou: One of the most profound realisations I’ve had in life is that the Creator of the world knows me and loves me despite all the evil and sin that I try to keep hidden from the outside world but resides within my heart. Yes Jesus loves me, for the Bible tells me so. I don’t deserve it one bit, yet He does. That’s why grace is so amazing. He loves you and I and proved it with His actions, He’s not a God who is faraway and unable to empathise - He chose to step away from His throne, humbled Himself to the point of death, and intimately knows our pain, humiliation, shame, guilt, and sin. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - ‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭NIV‬‬ And overcame the world, He did! He bodily (not just spiritually) rose on the third day, first appearing to women, whose testimonies weren’t even considered valid in the eyes of the law back then, yet God chose them to tell his disciples the Good News of His resurrection from the dead, and now we can all have hope that Good has triumphed over evil, death and darkness has been defeated, and that one day in the near future, Jesus will come back as King and make all things right. Biggest spoiler in History! Will you continue to ignore Him? Or look into who Jesus really is? He is waiting for you with open arms. No matter what you’ve done, who you believe you are, where you come from. It’s an open invitation to ALL. “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
