It doesn’t have to be rock bottom but in German you say the „hurt pressure“ needs to be higher than the benefits for most people to get clean

I hit at least 100 nad rock bottom. When I finally quit I was in a bar ordered and divine intervention or whatever I was like no more left-5yrs now🥰

So true, I have a family member that others wanted to “hit rock bottom” by floating the streets, etc.. it landed him nearly OD’d, then off to prison.
