As someone who did this: It’s cheaper to just buy an air purifier. 4 furnace filters costs as much as a purifier filter but doesn’t last as long.

I’ve been doing this since 2010. It works well and it’s cheap. I blow inwards so that the filters are dirty on the inside.

also, get yourself a commercial grade vacuum with a HEPA filter. we bought one refurbished for $130 and it puts every consumer vac to shame. 🤌👌
