The old trick on a 7.3 when the tubes crack or break add more oil past full lil bit and see if that changes your pressure if it does there ya go

what's your oil level at? the factory full line or the new one? I know on the b models you were suppose to fill it a certain amount and remark it.

Well 5 psi is normal in a 5ek or 6ts and early 1lw the block castings were weaker and the crank bends and loses psi but that’s bad bad

I would look at a sending unit first then ohm out the wires while shaking the loom..
