@aneeshkashalikar: Ancient Greek Double Pipes - The Aulos played by my teacher Callum Armstrong. The Aulos was one of the most popular instruments in Ancient Greece alongside the lyre. It is a double reed instrument played with two pipes both of which are capable of producing melody and harmony. This is an improvisation based on the Bellerman exercises a series of finger movement exercises for auletes -aulos players. This is the Louvre Aulos dating back to the Hellenistic period named after the museum in which it was housed. This instrument was played in the 3rd century BC. Unlike older pipes this set of double reed pipes are tuned a fourth apart which makes it versatile for contemporary playing as well.
