A “texture release” is a texturized… it literally relaxes your hair with chemicals. It’s fine if you want that. We should not be shaming.

I did all types of relaxers for about 10 years. I’ve been getting texture release for about 5 and my curls have returned and started actually growing!

No cause tbh i blow dry mine straight right away too 😂 I’ll wear it curly once it hits my shoulders with that shrinkage

I suggest using a flexible wet brush instead of a wide tooth comb. Less breakage.

This is my exact same experience but I only get it done once a year (even though they recommend every 3 months). I have 4c hair.

I go back and forth between curly and straight. In the summer, hair straightening just isn’t worth it. Fall and winter is where it’s at.
