What you failed to mention is the GATSO light, it's a steady burn non-flashing blue light, it's what registers a vehicle using blue lights when active

it's why we have the steady blue light on the vehicles. it determines whether blues are on or not when ticket was issued

Not always true, sometimes a ticket is issued, then the driver has to justify breaching it, so they don’t do it for no reason

If an emergency vehicle triggers a camera in the UK they check the vehicles GPS to confirm that it was on an emergency call

Funny enough, they’ll still be issued a ticket, they just have to inform the issuing agent that they where responding to an emergency on blue lights.
