You live in Canada?? Do you ride a moose to your favorite bagel shop and pour maple syrup on it?

PCOS helped me understand so much about my body. Losing over 40lbs has grounded me in such a way… I’m no longer scared of weight loss or gain now knowing that the answers are all in front of me. <3 managing weight loss goes beyond the physical, it requires for you to really lock in mentally to your long-term goals, while understanding that it’s the small decisions that add up and make the most difference. I had to stop feeling sorry for myself after being overweight for almost 3 years. In the gym wondering why I wasn’t looking or feeling like my ‘old self.’ Becoming certified in nutrition and taking my hobbies seriously absolutely changed my life. I was able to truly learn about hormones and food and kickstart my weight loss journey while actively working in Pilates and Yoga— I was saving up money to move out while further educating myself on the things I once loved as a teen athlete and how I can manage my PCOS. Thanks to nutrition, however, I’ve been able to truly focus on and manage my health and hormones without the ‘stress’ and ‘pressure’ that came with working out, and I’ve allowed working out to become what it’s meant to be… not a facilitator of weight loss, but rather an aid to mental and physical health and eventual muscle gain. (I’m almost ready to get back into training at 100% for my personal kickboxing goals, so not to say I won’t obsess over gym again at some point). Muscle memory has for sure been a helping factor as far as my overall physique goes, but I have years in the gym (before I was and even having been overweight) to show for it. It goes without saying that if you want the best results for body recomposition, you need to pair CLEAN EATING with MOVEMENT. The secret lies in the things you’re not willing to do, like eat clean 80% of the time, getting up and walking, receiving sunlight, hydrating. These are all things that slip our minds in the hustle and bustle of life but ultimately add up as your current lifestyle. Everything requires work, but nothing is impossible. Trust me. ❤️ #weightlossjourney #pcosweightlossjourney #pcosweightloss #pcos #bodyrecomposition #hormonalimbalance
