Meal 3 of Week 2! 8 chicken drumsticks 1 tbspn tomato paste 1 tspn minced garlic 1 tspn dried basil 2 cubes chicken stock 1 tspn lemon juice Pepper to taste Pasta Bake: 500g Rigatoni Pasta 1 head Broccoli cut & diced 2 carrots diced 1 zucchini diced 1 brown onion diced 1 pkt frozen spinach 1 tbspn minced garlic Salt & pepper to taste Pasta Bake Sauce: 1 pkt French onion soup mix 300ml Thickened Cream 1/2 cup milk 1 tspn minced garlic Method: Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees Boil water ready for pasta Take frozen spinach out to defrost Prep baking dish for drumsticks In a bowl, mix marinade Dry drumsticks with paper towel Brush marinade onto both sides of chicken Place baking dish in the oven for 25 mins Cook pasta for 1 minute less than packet Make up pasta sauce In a pan, add some oil & cook onion Add garlic, carrot & zucchini & cook Add spinach & heat through In an oven proof dish, add drained pasta Add cooked veggies & raw broccoli Add pasta sauce and mix through Top with grated cheese & cook for 25 mins When pasta bake goes in, take out chicken drumsticks & turn, back in oven until pasta bake is ready! #BudgetMeals #BudgetCooking #Frugal #FrugalCooking #PastaBake #ChickenDrumsticks
