@billierobyn: Tracking is NOT necessary!! I counted calories and macros for 10 years and a lot of the time, it actually causes more harm than good. It can lead to a really negative relationship with food, fitness and your body - because a lot of poeple can become obsessive or overly consumed with tracking/ counting. It IS possible to reach your goals and get physical results while eating intuitively.
