if you wanna grow them, just stick them in a glass jar or a glass cup, and cover the white part with water. Do not change out the water, unless you start to see the dark green tops of the spring onions start to wilt. this is important, because the spring onions will begin to regulate the pH of the water so that anaerobic bacteria doesn’t grow in it. If you wash out this water, then it will have to release those pH bouncing chemicals into the water again. Do not worry if it starts to get slimy. I’m not even joking when I say that you can have infinite spring onions forever with this method. i have an in-depth post about this on my page
