I also never told my daughter to find a police officer if she’s lost. Kids can’t tell the difference between a cop or a security officer

I’m glad she mentioned it’s usually someone they know- teaching them that their bodies are theirs and theirs only at a young age is key

Strangers are people we don’t know. I taught mine that adults won’t ask a kid for directions, help, etc. Be safe! 🙏🏻

I teach based on situations, and if the person doesn't know the code he will find the closest adult, or scream a stranger is touching him.

I tell my kids “if mom or dad aren’t there, answers NOPE and scream. No matter who it is. Could be aunty. If I didn’t tell you, you scream and say no”
