Recipe below #soup #chinese #yumyum #hongkong Ingredients: 1KG beef brisket 1 Daikon radish 2 carrots 3 garlic 3 slice ginger 3 spring onions (green onions) Sauce recipe: 1tbs Dark caramel soy 1tbs Dark soy 1tbs premium light soy 3tbs abalone sauce 1tsp 5 spice powder 1tsp sesame oil 1tbs rock sugar 4cups Chicken stock or fill till everything is submerged 1/2tbs Msg 2tbs oyster sauce Thicken with potato starch Spice bag: 5 star anise 1 dried orange peel 1/2 tbs Sichuan pepper corns 1/2 tbs white pepper corns 1 cardamom pod 1 cinnamon stick 6 bay leaves Method: 1. Cut beef to bite sized and cook for 15mins with ginger, garlic and spring onions. Remove scum and submerge meat in cold water for 10mins 2. Add beef to a clean pot and add everything in the sauce section and spice bag. 3. Simmer for 3 hours or pressure cook for 1.5hrs till meat is tender. 4. Thicken with potato starch and serve with noodles and chicken broth
