Yes!! If you can’t do the modality that you have your treadmill set on without hands, lower the speed and incline and work up to it!! No hands!!

the issue with the example is in the gym the "ground" is moving beneath your feet whereas in real life you are stationary until you put one foot in front of the other. holding on doesnt hurt.
