@meggrowsplants: Last year, I harvested bushels and bushels and bushels of peppers! (If you follow me on TT, you know!) and I would always get asked what my pepper secret was. I top them! I especially find this beneficial for my habaneros, jalapeños, Serranos, chilies, etc. I leave my big peppers like bell, ancho poblano, and giant marconi alone. Topping makes for a tidier, bushier, more productive plant. A lot of people will disagree and say it doesn’t affect production, but I disagree! I did an experiment last year with jalapeños and the plants I topped gave me more peppers 🤷🏻‍♀️ do with that information what you will 😂 give it a try for yourself and see what you think!
