Lemon Garlic Butter Orzo Ingredients 1 cup orzo pasta 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 3 cloves garlic, minced 1½ cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth) 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1 teaspoon lemon zest ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Salt and black pepper, to taste Optional: red pepper flakes for a little heat Instructions 1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. 2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. 3. Stir in the orzo pasta and toast it for 1–2 minutes, stirring often. 4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. 5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for about 10–12 minutes until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. 6. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and Parmesan cheese. 7. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. 8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm. Tips Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or salmon to make it a full meal.
