The Cheshire Cheese near the Strand. They still put down wood shavings on the floor as it used to soak up the blood from fights. Best pub in london.

The Anchor on Bankside is a good shout if you're in London Bridge, or The Rake behind Borough Market. The Chandos in Covent garden is decent too
