The DE never had timing chain problems. Some DD versions had issues. Oil leaks? Gasket leaks? Not a problem area. Fuel pump was not a problem.

Crossing my fingers. I have an 04 titan. I'm the only owner. And so far only problem is the exhaust manifold. it gets quiet after warm up.

Ugh so much bad info. The manifolds crack at the rear tubes. The cat cons are integrated in the manifold requiring complete replacement or pulling

My 04 is at 343k, manifold leaks on startup. Radiators are a weak spot, I'm on #3. still running original WP, AC compressor, alt, belts. runs smooth

I got a 09. Titan. Pro 4x. I have 246k miles no issues yet. Just minor. Fuel line. Replacement.

I’ve had two Titans with VK56DE… 07 (130k) and now 13 (95k). Both have been solid engine-wise. I’ve been lucky with exhaust manifold. Thanks for this!
