@sxpstl: Hakone is the perfect place to see the Mount Fuji 🗻 Located only 1h30 from Tokyo, I recommand to go there for 2 days because there is many things to see and to do, but you can also do it as a day trip from Tokyo. If you stay there 2 days you can buy the "Hakone freepass" (Odakyu line) with which you will have access to almost all means of transport in Hakone, including the train to get there from Shinjuku station. The pass costs 6100¥. I slept in the Hotel Musashiya and I recommend it because you have access to a superb onsen on the 5th floor with a view of the lake, the torii and Mount Fuji, and you also have a delicious traditional japanese breakfast. The location is perfect too!
