If your goal is to get lean, toned and defined… you need to be lifting weights, and with a PLAN 💪🏽💓💫 I used to do cardio for a HUGE majority of my workouts because I was so focused on calorie burn, and thought lifting weights would make me bulky 🙄 The treadmill, the elliptical, spinning classes😩 And I was so confused how doing all this cardio and burning so many calories wasn’t getting me the results I wanted. I thought I had plateaued… But I just wasn’t strength training enough!💪🏽 Strength training/ weight lifting is going to have a way bigger impact on your body if your goals are to tone up, burn fat and boost your metabolism! ✨  It has so many benefits and is also IS cardiovascular since it raises your heart rate and breathing rate so much! You actually burn more calories when strength training than when cardio training, because your body continues to burn calories throughout the rest of the day! Now, the majority of my workouts are weight lifting/ strength training and I’ve become way more toned, more strong, and have been consistently seeing changes in my body.
