@beekeeping_japan: Is Honey really 'Bee Vomit'? 🐝😱 No!! Honeybees have two types of stomachs, the first for digesting their own food and the second, called the "honey stomach," for carrying nectar back to the hive. As the honeybee collects nectar, it is stored in the honey stomach, which can hold up to 70 mg of nectar. The nectar is then transferred from the honeybee's honey stomach to other hive mates, and as it is passed between bees, enzymes in their stomachs begin to break down the complex sugars in the nectar into simpler sugars. Eventually, the nectar is deposited into the honeycomb cells, where it is fanned by the bees and the water is evaporated, turning it into honey. So, technically speaking, honey is not bee vomit, but rather a transformed substance produced by the bees from the nectar they collect from flowers. Would you still eat honey even if they are really bee vomit? I think I would 😂 Send this to a honey lover 🍯 Follow us for more 🐝🐝🐝 content ❤️ . . . . . #beevomit #honeybees🐝 #beesoftiktok #beekeepingjapan #beekeepers #beelovers #honeycomb #beehive #naturevideos #homesteaddreams #gardeninspo
