doomed found family :( they're THE foil characters EVER and i'm SORRY this is making even ME sick to my stomach crying / #mouthwashing #mouthwashinggame #mouthwashingfanart #likehim #foundfamily #doomed #daisukemouthwashing #swanseamouthwashing / so basically !! the reflections in dai and swan's eyes represent their dynamic. swansea begins to see daisuke as a son figure, and the text in the art shows that. daisuke looks up to swansea very much and sees him as a role model, but not as a father, and the text once again exhibits that. in their eyes in the second panel, you can see the axe in daisuke's eyes, as he's looking AT the axe. however you can see daisuke in swansea's eyes, meaning he's looking at daisuke. swan sees dai as a son but dai doesn't see swan as a father.. i considered putting swan in dai's eyes as a reflection, to show how daisuke trusted him no matter what, but i wanted to highlight the pure fear that daisuke felt when seeing swansea, his mentor, his role model, holding an axe above his head. maybe daisuke understood, and maybe he preferred death to suffering from his injuries, but i like to think that he still couldn't look away from the axe because he was too scared. he trusted swansea, but still, he didn't want to die.
