The secret to getting a high end look. Follow & save for more 💫 We’ve decorated our new build home over the last 3.5 years and, while I can’t change the floor plan to be more open, there are many things I can and have done to make my home feel more modern and high end. Here are several tips I use to get a higher end look in my new build home; whilst still keeping it on budget: 1. Buy an investment item here and there. I know it sounds obvious but use google product search or @Basket | Smart Wishlist to get the best deals. You don’t need to have loads of high priced items for a home to feel high end. I try to aim for at least one high-quality item in each room. Then, I mix in lower priced furniture and decor, often times from @Amazon or supermarkets, that still gives me the look I want, but for less money. 2. I kept the majority of my walls white. There are no messy paint lines from skirting to wall, it feels light and bright and flows well from room to room. Then add features on walls - my favourites are panelling and large artwork. 3. Opt for a cohesive decor theme. I have a colour palette and scheme that throws from room to room. I use earthy colors in every single room. I love using black, white, brown and beige tones plus a splash of darker green from plants. Keeping a colour palette throughout my home helps to create cohesion. 4. Invest in storage solutions to keep clutter hidden and pay attention to details. I have changed the door handles on some of our storage cupboards and kitchen cupboards using handles from @Amazon Home to give a higher end look. There are so many more tips I have, flowers, mirrors, curtains etc. What tips would you add? Let me know in the comments! Look for less, high end home, splurge finds, Amazon finds, affordable home #neutraldecor #neutralhome #livingroom #summervibes #diningroom #livingroomdecor #livingroomideas #cozyhome #neutralhome #neutraldecor #homedecor #interiorstyling #interiordecor
