@chrisellelim: Last night was surreal. I watched the news with my girls las I was on @abcnews talking about how representation matters and how we’re doing it for the next generation. Chloe and colette had a lot of questions like “why are you on TV?” and “what does representation mean?” At the end of our little conversation my girls looked at me and told me they were proud to be Asian American. I cried because This is exactly what I needed growing up in America. What so many of us needed. More people in media that looked like us because when you can see yourself in somebody it allows you to dream and be hopeful for the future. Thank you @abcnewslive for spotlighting such an important subject that will@make such an impact to our AANHPI community.
