There is a credit score in Spain but it’s per bank. All credit over €1000 and histories are registered with the Bank of Spain.

in order to get a credit card in spain, I had to show a 1 year paystub history and i only got 300. in the usa, at 18, they just handed me a 2k limit😳

We have credit cards but the whole “building credit” works differently. Here having no other debt is seen as best by banks when getting a loan.

Tbh European banks offer almost no perks or some pathetic rewards so it is not tempting to get a credit card. We just pay debit and don’t overspend
