@likho.nonyongo: Okay granted, I'll avoid washday like a plague 39 buuut once I get started, it's so therapeutic and it feels like healing. A few shampoo tips (these work for me) - always start with your scalp: find a shampoo that doesn't dry out your hair and scalp and wash your scalp first - don't scrape/ scratch your scalp too much : yes you want to lift some of that build up and dandruff, but scratching too much can cause inflammation. - make sure your hair is fully saturated with water before shampooing: this may take longer if you have low porosity hair so be patient - always shampoo and lather at least twice: focus on your hair when lathering the second time and use pulling and stretching methods to make detangling easier. - make sure to rinse it all out!
