Embarking on my journey from Auckland to Japan, and I’m thrilled to share the adventure with you! 🛫 From the moment I boarded the plane and tasted the aeroplane food (which was just average), to smoothly passing through customs since we had pre-registered all documents on visitjapan website—this trip has been off to a great start! As of May, quarantine and vaccination documents are not required, you can still use visitjapan to make your customs & immigration process hassle-free. ✈️🌏 Once we landed, we quickly obtained our Suica cards for transportation, a must-have in Japan. I thought it would be hard but it was super easy. We wanted to collect our JR pass at the airport but the lines were too long and we were so tired from the trip so we decided to get them the next day! We hopped on the convenient Narita Express (nEX) to Shinjuku, where our hotel is located. If you’re curious about our hotel tour, stay tuned! 🚆🏨 Of course, no visit to Japan is complete without indulging in the famous Ichiran ramen for dinner. It was an absolute delight! 😋 We also took some time to explore vibrant Shinjuku before returning to our cozy hotel room.
