@jerrasgarden: This is how I grow cucumbers straight thru my hot and rainy summers - switch to Asian cultivars that have higher heat tolerance, and disease/pest resistance. My personal favorites are Sooyow Nishiki, China Jade, and Japanese Long. If you want to try a cucumber cultivar that is great for pickling, then I recommend Wisconsin SMR which has a decent disease resistance. Stay on top of the worms by using BT or spinosad. Stay on top of the leaf diseases by removing badly infected leaves, prune the bottom most 18 inches of leaves for better air flow, and fertilize frequently so the plants continuously produce new healthy growth that will outpace the diseased portions. Find seeds for the cucumber cultivars I recommend on my website. #garden #gardening #gardener #gardentok #floridagarden #zone9 #vegetablegarden #permaculture #urbangarden #growwhatyoueat #eatwhatyougrow #gardentips #grow #beginnergardener #zone9 #zone9b #cucumber #summergarden
