@meggrowsplants: I always get asked how long it takes me to water my garden, or what I do when I leave the garden for vacation, so here it is! Two years ago I bought a raised bed garden irrigation kit from Drip Depot, and I’ve been in love with it! Drip irrigation is my favorite way to irrigate and it’s been what has worked for me for a couple of years now. I love how customizable it is and how well it keeps my plants watered in the NC summer heat. I just recently set up the grow bag drippers (I used to hand water all the grow bags), and now it’s even better! And, with the timer I’m able to control when and how much it gets watered, and can adjust as needed (I don’t really use it in the winter). If it rains, I can choose not to water. Or, if I have other methods of watering (like hopefully a rain barrel soon), I can hold off as well. I know there will be more questions about how to set it up, and I hope to do a more in depth video one day but for now this is how it works. The kit from drip depot was super easy to understand and set up.
