Taking off from Entebbe in the 60's my dad watched the outboard engine fall off on the taxiway. Had to wait a week for a new engine to be flown in.

My Grand Uncle was trained as a navigator in that seat of the Connie and as well in Comet 4C to then work on the DC-8s of Aeromexico, what a memory.
