Okay, but what about capacity? How much stock do I need if I want to supply stores? I sometimes hear this question from others and it's something I used to wonder about in the past too. I'd say the answer is simpler than you think- and it's also dependant on the store you want to supply as well as the model you agree on with the owner. Firstly, you don’t need thousands of units when you get started. You don’t need a warehouse, and you definitely don’t need to be mass-producing before you even get your first yes. I'm talking to creative business owners who want to supply to boutiques and stores here, starting atva smaller scale, right? Okay let's continue... So what you do need is: 1. A clear idea of how many units you can realistically produce per week without burning out. 2. A small, ready batch of your best sellers or hero products that you can show buyers or store owners immediately. This doesn’t need to be more than 10 to 20 pieces in total. 3. A realistic production plan so that if a store orders 30, 50, or 100 units, you know how long it will take you and you can communicate that clearly. 4. Systems. Even simple ones. A schedule, a workflow, and a way to track materials. 5. Confidence. Stores don’t necessarily expect you to operate like a huge factory. They just need to know you can deliver what you commit to. Most creative entrepreneurs underestimate themselves. A store isn’t looking for a lot, other than knowing that you're reliable and that your products will sell. So start with what you can handle, communicate your lead times upfront, and remember: capacity grows with demand. If you keep showing up and pitching, one yes can turn into two, five, ten and with that, your ability to produce will grow too. I've supplied my products to over 25 stores, including international stores and when I first started with my first one I never thought I'd be able to achieve what I've achieved to this point. You can do it too. Have you downloaded the free guide in my bio? If not, run there now before I replace it with a different one. #creativeentrepreneur #businessownertips #smallbusinesscoach #businesscoach #BusinessGrowth
