As a brand and content creator I see both sides. But here is the thing: never ever would I ever accept a collaboration and not show up for a small business. Ever. I would just say I don’t have the capacity. If I received a product that wasn’t for me, I have mailed back. Both approaches are valid. This one stings as I put together a crew sweater, knit cardigan and a hat she specifically said she wanted. Thats alot of money out of a small business in hopes to get more reach. U have pulled back on influencers because of this as small businesses have this happen a lot. This isnt isolated to this one person. So my ask is this. If you’re a content creator / influencer or whatever don’t yes if you don’t have the intent or capacity to shout out a small business. Everyone’s capacity is valid and its ok to say no to gifted items. It is also ok to send back gifted items if fit is off etc. This in my mind is stealing and being ghosted hurt. #babessupportbabes #womensupportingwomen #werisebyliftingothers #hurt #capacity #growthroughwhatyougothrough
