I just tell my customers it's a flat diag fee. that way I don't have to cook tickets. makes everyone happier.

Cooking the ticket is the way to go - you can move on the other diags - the only downside is having to move a lot of cars around.

Everything is sold by the job not by the hour. We have a base hourly, but only for the parts team to build the quote with.
