I stopped using tons of chemicals I only use chlorine and baking soda and my pool tests beautifully all summer! I put it through the skimmer

all you are doing is raising the ph and alkalinity the ph rises everyday naturally so you should actually be putting a pint of muriatic acid

It takes more than this. To much ph can turn your pool. You hv to hv balance. Get a real test kit.
