I just tell them to put it in before payroll need to be run. Raises are productivity based now, no approvals, no decisions. I don’t have time to be dealing with it…because we’re short staffed.😂

Just another reason why a 4-day week makes sense. Having a weekday off guaranteed helps with work and employees’ schedules, thus less PTO required.

my company uses that fun program NICE schedule. it creates a pool of pto allowed to be taken by employees any given day.

Also, it is PTO rather than sick/vacation. They crammed these into PTO to save money. PTO can be used for both activities.

When I put in a PTO request, I tell them in advance “if you deny my PTO, I still won’t be at work” and then on those days, I don’t show up
