@thezenhenandthehoneybee: Replying to @drake For the Cake: 3 cups cake flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup honey 1/2 cup brown sugar 3 eggs 1/2 cup pineapple juice 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup pineapple juice 1/2 cup mild flavored oil (I used coconut) 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract For the Topping: 6 tablespoons butter (Add 1/4 tablespoon salt if using unsalted butter) 1 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon Rum (optional) Pineapple slices Maraschino cherries Melt butter and brown sugar together and cook with stirring for 3 minutes Add rum and allow alcohol to cook off for another 2-3 minutes Preheat oven to 350° Mix dry ingredients together in one bowl Mix wet ingredients together in another bowl. Note: honey and sugar are both considered “wet ingredients” Add cake batter gently to your pan Bake in oven at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until center is no longer gooey Allow to cool for 10 minutes and loosen cake from outer edge before flipping cake
