back in the day we just put the pole in the ground with some concrete to reinforce it.

That’s genius! I have a sloped driveway, but could install this at the base of the driveway and just take the hoop off when not being used

Haven’t these been out for years? I remember my uncles home had a removable latch that was in the ground but could easily be taken out
