@my_aussie_gal: I’ve often been asked “why do you do so much training with her, can’t you just let your dog have fun and be a normal dog?” This is the answer. The point of training is so that she CAN do everything she wants. So that she can jump in the mud whenever she wants, because she’ll jump in the shower just as easily. So she can run off leash, because I know she’ll come back when I ask. So that she never has to be dragged unwillingly to the groomers, or to the veterinarian. It’s about showing your dog that you will be there, sticking up for them no matter what. That’s what training is for, helping you both live your best lives together, and if it’s taking fun out of their lives instead of adding it, we need to figure out what we’re missing❤️
